I am an assistant professor at the Computer Science department at George Mason University. I am also a Collaborating Senior Researcher at the Archimedes AI Research Center in Athens, Greece. My research focuses on multilingual natural language processing and machine learning, with a main focus on machine translation and speech recognition for endangered languages and low-resource settings in general.

Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher under Graham Neubig at the Language Technologies Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. I completed my PhD in 2019 advised by David Chiang at the University of Notre Dame.

A list of my previously and currently funded projects is available under projects.

Prospective Students: Please read this page before contacting me. I am not currently hiring any new students.
